Bleeding disorder services
The haemophilia and bleeding disorder services are located at Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth. There is a dedicated bleeding disorder team which includes consultant haematologists and a nurse specialist in haemophilia and inherited bleeding disorders.
Children and families are seen in the combined paediatric/haemophilia clinic on A level at Queen Alexandra Hospital.
Adults are seen in the haematology department on B level.
Where to find us
Children with bleeding disorders have direct access to the children’s assessment unit on A level, paediatrics accessed from main hospital entrance.
If you are an adult with a bleeding disorder follow the signs to the haematology department on B level. Follow the signs for the haematology day unit, the haemophilia nurse specialist can be located in the corridor just before the Haematology Day unit, next to the picture of the butterfly. Enquiries can also be made at B level Haematology reception.

Parking is within the main hospital car parks, although there is allocated disabled parking at the side entrance to B level haematology/oncology outpatient department. Click here for more information.
